Privacy notice: Nessoo for AI assistants
What this covers
Nessoo’s connector lets AI assistants, such as Claude and ChatGPT, search apartments for rent listed on Nessoo. It is the MCP server at https://nessoo.com/mcp and the JSON API at https://nessoo.com/api/public/v1/, described at nessoo.com/openapi.json. This notice covers the connector only, not the nessoo.com website or a Nessoo account.
What the connector returns
Only information already public on nessoo.com’s listing pages: homes for rent, their rents, photos and buildings, neighborhoods, city building facts, nearby subway stations, and rent-limit figures. It never returns information about renters or about anyone’s account. Listing descriptions are written by landlords.
What we receive
- What your assistant asks: a search, such as a neighborhood, a number of bedrooms or a rent range, and, for the affordability tool, the incomes provided to it.
- What every web request carries: the IP address it comes from, the assistant’s user agent, and the time.
The connector needs no account, and asks for no name, email address or phone number. Nessoo sets no cookies on it.
How we use it
- To answer the request.
- The IP address, to limit how many requests one client can make. The count is held in server memory for about a minute, then discarded.
- The user agent, to tag the nessoo.com links in an answer with the assistant’s name (for example
utm_source=claude&utm_medium=agent), so we know which assistant sent a visitor. No search and no income is ever put in a link.
Incomes
The affordability tool uses incomes only to work out its answer. Nessoo does not store them, write them to logs, or put them in any link. The JSON API accepts incomes only in the body of a POST request, so they never appear in a web address.
What we keep
Nessoo does not save connector requests or answers in its own systems. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and network provider (Cloudflare) process each request to deliver it, and keep standard request logs, such as the time, the IP address and the web address requested, for a limited period under their own terms. For a GET request to the JSON API, the web address includes the search filters, never incomes.
Your assistant
The assistant you use sends the requests and receives the answers. What it does with your conversation is governed by its provider’s own privacy policy.
Visiting nessoo.com
Opening a link from an answer takes you to nessoo.com, which this notice does not cover. The site records which assistant sent you, from the link’s tags, in a first-party cookie for 30 days, and uses analytics that you can decline in its cookie banner.
Selling and advertising
Nessoo does not sell connector data or use it for advertising.
Children
The connector is not directed to children.
Changes
If this notice changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
